- Wander Magazine Sees Swelling Interest in Wellness Retreats.

Hot on the heels of releasing its Spring issue, Wander Magazine is reporting increased interest from businesses and consumers alike in the topic of wellness travel. A $639 billion market, according to the Global Wellness Institute (and projected to reach $919 billion by 2022), the magazine sees online searches for 'wellness resorts', 'wellness retreats' and 'yoga and spa getaways' are bringing more readers – and brands - to its pages.

"Our Spring issue's theme is 'retreat yourself' for renewed wellbeing, and the features on self-care, from iconic Lake Louise to the vineyards of Tuscany, have been incredibly well-read. Other popular features are reading retreats – which we took a chance on introducing - and spring healing and detox practices," said Kristina Smith, Founder and Editor of Wander.

"We are seeing a lot of interest in retreats, especially meditation, spiritual and off-grid, as well as plant-based foods and medicines (think ayahuasca) and more conscious travel choices, from zero-waste to choosing hotels and resorts based on their environmental commitment. I think the interest in experiences that connect people with nature, and with themselves, are only going to skyrocket as our world becomes more 'always on' and yet, ironically, disconnected. We see a huge amount of growth potential – we're booking advertisers well over a year out for the first time; interest has really grown in reaching this audience."

Wander is a quarterly digital magazine focused on wellness travel experiences with a distribution of 80,000 per issue. Published by Springfed Creative Inc., a content and creative agency, Wander has just introduced a program for travel advisors, working closely with the travel trade to offer white-label versions of the magazine for their clients.
