- LG's 2020 Lineup of OLED and NanoCell TVs Offers Quality and Performance. -

LG Electronics Canada (LG), the world leader in OLED TVs, is raising the bar on the home entertainment experience in Canada. Today, LG announced its premium AI ThinQ powered TV lineup featuring OLED and NanoCell TVs. Led by the 88" ZX LG SIGNATURE OLED TV, the first 8K OLED TV with NVIDIA G-SYNC® compatibility in Canada, the 2020 lineup delivers a premium viewing and sound experience.

Following a record-breaking year for LG at CES with 83 awards and honours in the TV category alone, including the Best TV of CES Award for the sixth consecutive year, LG continues to be a champion of superior audio and picture quality.

With several of these award-winning sound bars and TVs coming to Canada, customers will experience premium visual and audio experiences from the following:

- LG CX 4K OLED TV
- LG GX Gallery Series 4K OLED TV
- LG SIGNATURE OLED ZX 8K TV
- LG Soundbar SN11RG

The LG SIGNATURE OLED ZX Real 8K model delivers four times more detail than a 4K TV and 16 times more than a FHD TV and it exceeds the industry definition for 8K Ultra HD TVs. The 77- and 88-inch LG ZX OLEDs also surpass the measurement criteria recommended by the International Committee for Display Metrology and are among the first to earn the new Consumer Technology Association (CTA) 8K Ultra HD logo.

New to the LG OLED TV line is the minimalist Gallery Series. Designed to provide an ultra-thin form factor – the 65-inch model is a mere 20 millimeters thick (0.79 inches). Paired with an included specially-designed wall mount, these 55-, 65- and 77-inch class models hang flush to the wall providing a dramatic appearance and transforming the OLED into a piece of art. Like the LG OLED WX Wallpaper series (razor-thin 77- and 65-inch models), the Gallery Series is designed to provide genuine space integration and an element of futuristic luxury.

The latest 8K and 4K LG OLED and 8K LG NanoCell TVs are driven by the new α (Alpha) 9 Gen 3 AI Processor powered by LG's own ThinQ® technology. The processor allows LG TVs to achieve an elevated sound and picture experience by fine-tuning faces and on-screen text to produce more natural skin tones, well-defined facial features and clearer, more readable characters. Taking it a step further, the Processor enables LG OLED and NanoCell TVs to isolate spoken words and increase volume, allowing users to easily understand where background noises are identified. This advanced Processor leverages upgraded processing power and AI deep learning algorithms to improve on LG's renowned picture quality and enable a host of specialized features for various types of content and functions.

Ultimate Gaming Experience

Offering an amazing experience for gamers, LG is expanding NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility to the 2020 OLED TVs to provide a flawless gaming experience. In another industry-first, this year's models feature the HDR Gaming Interest Group's HGiG Mode, so gamers can enjoy high-quality visuals as game creators and developers intended when playing HDR games via consoles on their LG TVs.

LG is introducing the 48-inch CX OLED with NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility - perfect to set up as either a TV or monitor. This 4K OLED unit reproduces even sharper picture quality with 8 million-plus self-lighting pixels on the 48-inch screen.

Ultimate Cinema Experience
Ensuring film fans are viewing movies as the director intended, Filmmaker Mode™ delivers exceptional images and authentic quality. This feature disables various post-processing effects while simultaneously preserving correct aspect ratios, colours, and frame rates to produce replicas of the original director's version. LG OLED TVs have been awarded the Excellence in Engineering Award by the Hollywood Professional Association as the first and only TV with this integrated hardware-level calibration software.

The LG ThinQ AI Experience

In addition to powering the Alpha 9 Gen 3 Processor, LG's ThinQ AI allows for intelligent voice control to create a smart TV platform where you can enjoy many features using just your voice.

Thanks to its Open AI User Experience, LG ThinQ AI allows LG TVs to deliver a convenient and streamlined experience across third-party products such as Amazon Alexa™, Google Home™, Apple HomeKit™ and Airplay2. It also allows users to connect, monitor and in some cases control their smart home connected LG Appliances directly through their TV.

The new 2020 OLED models will start at $1,999 and the entire LG home entertainment lineup will roll out in Canada in Spring 2020. For complete details on where to buy, pricing and retail locations, please visit lg.ca.
