(CIAS, Toronto, ON, August 2011) – The 62nd annual Canadian International Air Show has something for everyone! It will showcase the peaceful, serene beauty of internationallyknown, hometown glider pilot Manfred Radius to the roar of a wide variety of jet power.

The show will be topped-off with the crowning jewel from yester year, the Lancaster
Bomber. Be prepared to be wowed! If you loved the V-22 OSPREY and the A-10 in the Transformer movies, you will love to see them live at the Canadian International Air Show. Making its first ever appearance at a Canadian air show the V-22 OSPREY will wow the crowds with its transformation!
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? You decide after seeing it fly and hover over the lake! Not to be outdone, the United States Air Force A-10 WARTHOG will leave you wanting more with its high-speed demonstration.

Loud, proud and sporting a rad paint-scheme celebrating the families of our troops – the CF-18 HORNET! Watch closely as the pride of the Canadian Air Force shows its maneuverability! Feel free to wear red to show your support for our troops!

Back by popular demand, for his fifth anniversary with the CIAS, he is sure to thrill you with his death-defying aerobatics – MIKE WISKUS in the Lucas Oil Pitts!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls; keep your eyes on the skies and watch the Canadian Forces Army; Jump Masters – the SKYHAWKS twist and turn over Lake Ontario. This exciting demonstration will also feature their recovery from the water by the naval members of the H.M.C.S. Shawinigan.

Have you ever wanted to become a pilot? The ROYAL CANADIAN AIR CADETS have been training some of our country’s finest and future pilots for decades. Watch as the Schweizer 2-33 Glider and Bellanca Scout soar through the sky. If you have watched any of the exciting air races on the Red Bull circuit, you will have seen PETE McLEOD representing Canada. This young, local pilot will be kicking out the Gs in his awesome Edge 540! This phenomenal aviator will prove that anything is
possible!

Dentist by day, Super Stunt Pilot RICK VOLKER will be flying a killer aerobatic routine in his Sukhoi SU-26M. It’s enough to make your fillings fall out watching him twist and turn!

We are fortunate to have the MISTY BLUES Parachute Jump Team; an all women team coming to Toronto this year. Watch them leap out of their plane and cool off by landing in Lake Ontario. These ladies are silent but deadly.

Peaceful and awe-striking is the only way to describe this beautiful display of man and machine by MANFRED RADIUS our hometown boy and his incredible, engine-free aerobatic routine in the H-101 Salto Sailplane!

For those who appreciate the majestic, vintage aircraft we are proud to present our salute to WWII. Hear the mighty purr of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s LANCASTER bomber as it flies gracefully over Lake Ontario.
