Blue Ant Studios and TVO Media Education Group (TVO) today announce the award-winning TVOkids Original series, Old Enough! (6x30), returns for Season 3 on Sunday, September 27 at 6:30 p.m. ET on TVO and at 11 a.m. ET on the TVOkids and TVO Docs YouTube channels. Based on the iconic Japanese format, Old Enough! follows Canadian kids as they get their first taste of independence in the real world, embarking on errands all by themselves.

After winning over audiences with its pint-sized participants, Old Enough! took home two 2026 Canadian Screen Awards โ€“ Best Childrenโ€™s Non-Fiction Series and Best Picture Editing, Childrenโ€™s or Youth โ€“ proving that big successes come in small packages. The series has also become an online sensation, with clips from previous seasons garnering millions of views on TikTok.

"Old Enough! is a very special show that teaches all of us just how capable young kids can be,โ€ says Matt Hornburg, Executive Producer and Chief Content Officer, Blue Ant Studios. โ€œWeโ€™re thrilled to continue working with our partners at TVO and Nippon TV to bring this format to North America."

โ€œWeโ€™re incredibly proud to see Old Enough! return for a third season and continue to resonate with Canadian audiences,โ€ says Tom Miyauchi, Executive Producer and Head of Nippon TV LA Business Office, Nippon TV. โ€œBlue Ant Studios and TVO have done a wonderful job capturing the heart and spirit of the original Japanese series, and itโ€™s wonderful to see this beloved format continue to grow in Canada.โ€

New for Season 3, brave, young adventurers will navigate errands in bustling downtown Toronto and now in other Ontario cities, including Cambridge, Brantford, Burlington, Hamilton, Port Colborne, Thornhill and Windsor.

โ€œOld Enough! has quickly become a fan favourite on TVO with kids and families alike, and weโ€™re excited that Season 3 gives more Ontario children the chance to see themselves and their communities represented on screen,โ€ said Kirsten Hurd, Commissioning Editor, TVOkids.

Canadian comic and improv legend, Colin Mochrie (Whose Line is it Anyway?), returns as narrator for the third season, helping to showcase the kidsโ€™ heart and humour through every high and low they face along their journeys. Mochrieโ€™s narration in Seasons 1 and 2 both earned Canadian Screen Award nominations.

Old Enough! is produced by Blue Ant Studios, based on Nippon TVโ€™s hit Japanese format of the same name. Executive Producers are Matthew Hornburg, Mark Bishop and Donna Luke. Carly Spencer serves as Executive Producer and Showrunner. For TVO, Natasha Negrea is the Head of Programming, Kirsten Hurd is Commissioning Editor for TVOkids and Alexandra Roberts is Commissioning Editor for TVO Docs. Executive Producers for Nippon TV are Naoko Yano and Tom Miyauchi. Kiyotaka Tokunaga is the Chief Director and Ayaka Isshiki is the Producer for the original Japanese series. Akihiko Harazono and Fusako Nagashima are the Format Producers. Old Enough! was produced with the participation of the Canada Media Fund.
